It is not a living fairy tale, but it whispers nonetheless. It's not just fun, it’s not just shiny; adventure at its best. Even under certain conditions, just one view is sufficient Some people still don't take a person, as their children might look different. When you were young you didn’t get why you couldn’t go to space; Your height seemed too irrelevant to decide you’re for this place. Consequences; what are those? The rules stop you from finding out the meaning with your bones. You still decide to sneak aboard, the rules can go to hell! But when you slip between the bars, you might go there as well. The fairy tale is not alive – and neither, now, are you. You’re a surprise, shocked by the rain you find you’re flying through. You only tried to keep up with your siblings and their games. But all that try, and all that reach, just pushed them all to pain. If you’d made it to middle-aged, like many from your town, You’d have wisdom, you’d have hindsight – benefits for slowing down. Start a person; call them Jake? No space for them – no way, no sir! Not making that mistake. Take care what you throw to the wind, as she’s a fickle friend. She could lift you to greater heights, or send you to your end. The fairy tale is not alive – and neither, now, are you. You’re a surprise, shocked by the rain you find you’re flying through. You only tried to keep up with your siblings and their games. But all that try, and all that reach, just pushed them all to pain. It’s torturous, is what it is, to watch but not partake. You witness all the things you missed; ever lonely, ever fake. The one remaining solace is you’re wide-branched family tree. You have nieces and a nephew – plus a grandson, nearly three. You see your siblings happy. You also see them cry. You whisper to them softly when it’s time to say goodbye.
