The Point of Return

The English Version of 《归点》

Summary

Every family has its own skeletons in the closet, and Lu Sisi is the blemish of the Lus. In her youth, she was reckless and rebellious, and by middle age, she had fallen on hard times, leading to her premature death. What seemed even more irresponsible to the family was that she left behind three children.

That year, Lu Cang was seventeen, Lu Jianbai was eight, and Lu Xiao’ai was only six. The eldest somewhat haphazardly secured a university admission and fled his hometown without further ado. The two younger ones, appearing too naive to understand what was happening, were casually handed over to their relatives.

The three siblings lost their home at a very young age.

Years later, Lu Cang graduated from university. He flung his shiny hot fully-funded PhD offer from an Ivy League Univesrity and returned to Huaiping, a third-tier city, to work as a high school teacher.

Lu Jianbai and Lu Xiao’ai, barely grasping what was happening, moved in with this virtually estranged elder brother.

And then, they found a home once again.

Epilogues

Flowers on the Sea

Well, the Lus had a family trait of clear-cut love and hate, never hesitant even when they needed to cut through their own hearts. In this four-part romance mini-series, the Lu siblings disclose their struggles and joys in love and in life, not knowing that their late mother’s past somewhat set up the foundation for all their encounters.
